You know that cupboard you have under the sink with a variety of different cleaners? They aren't welcome with low maintenance Vinyl flooring. Day-to-day, the best thing for vinyl flooring is a light sweep using a soft broom (or a vacuum cleaner) and then a simple mop using warm or cold water, a damp mop and a gentle approved cleaner. There are some great Vinyl friendly cleaning products on the market but we find just a dash of vinegar in the water works a treat. The key here isn't to use too much water, you don't want to drench the floor but have just enough water to remove any marks from the day.
Furniture & Rugs
With all flooring we recommend popping some little felt pads under the feet of your furniture to protect the flooring from any drag marks. Also moving any rugs seasonally will protect the flooring from any discolouration overtime.
Tougher Scuffs & Spills
The best advice I can give you when it comes to water on any kind of floor is to clean it up straight away. Acidic soft drinks and other sugary substances can be harder to tackle the longer they’re left. For removing any tough scuff marks or if you are just unsure about what to do about a spill just give us a call and we can walk you through the best options.
